Adding a Product

NB: Before adding products you should make sure that you have at least one catagory in shop.

Click the 'Products' menu on the left (not the products page link on the right) and you will see a form for adding products. Use the top form and enter an ID and click 'Proceed'. The ID can contain up to 15 letters and/or numbers and must be in UPPER CASE.

Specifying product details

In this form you can write a description, add the price and so on. Click the 'Browser' button to select the product image on your hard disk. You can specify associated products, such as batteries for electrical goods, and active or out of stock items.

Adding product options

Your products may be available in different sizes, colours and so on. Click 'Easy Edit' next to Product Options. You can specify the name of the options and then the type of option and prices difference. Click 'Easy Edit' again to add more options.

Adding products to pages

When you click the Update button, you will see your store structure. You must click a link to add the product you just entered to a page. Then you will be returned to the Add/Edit individual Product form. Enter a new ID and add more products.

Editing your products

You can edit the information associated with each product at any time simply by entering its product ID. When the ID is recognised, the form is fitted with the current description. The image LM and Thumbnail LM are the last modified dates.

Viewing the site structure

Select 'Shop Pages' in the menu on the left and the site structure is displayed. The name of each page and the number of products it contains is shown.

Click the number of products in brackets to display them and an option to add more.
